It's been a while since I did a general New Music Releases post (think the last one was July), although I did do a J-pop and K-pop one in March. So here's a selection of new music from Western, Korean and Japanese artists! :)
Jennifer Lopez feat. French Montana- Medicine
One of my favourite singers Jennifer Lopez's latest single is Medicine. It features Moroccan American rapper French Montana (who has worked with Jennifer in the past on I Luh Ya Papi and the album version of Same Girl) and came out in early April.
Medicine is J.Lo's first release under record producer L.A. Reid's Hitco Entertainment. There's no official word on a new album yet (her last was 2014's AKA) but I'll keep you posted. :)

K..A.R.D- Bomb Bomb
Korean group KARD (sometimes written as K.A.R.D) released their new single Bomb Bomb in late March (so not as new now but I thought I'd include it!). It's their first digital single.
BananaLemon- #Slaysian
Japanese girl group BananaLemon have a new one called #Slayasian. Member R!NO left the band last year due to health issues. This year new member Lety joined. She's a former member of the group Def Will. Lety is half Japanese and half Brazilian. Since I'm mixed race I love the fact that the group contains several mixed members (Saarah is Japanese and African American and Nadia has mixed Asian and European heritage). :)
#Slaysian came out in late April.

BTS feat. Halsey- Boy with Luv
K-pop boyband BTS released their new single Boy with Luv last month. It features American singer Halsey and has been very popular. They've been showing the music video on the music channels here in the UK, which isn't common for K-pop songs! (BLACKPINK's Kill This Love is also popular over here). It's broken records for being the most viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours after its release.
Boy with Luv is from BTS' 6th EP Map of the Soul: Persona. Click "Subtitles/closed captions while viewing the video on YouTube to see English subtitles. :)
ZAYN- Sour Diesel (video)
Last July British singer ZAYN (full name Zayn Malik), released the single Sour Diesel. It's on his 2nd album Icarus Falls which came out in December.
At the time there was no music video, just an audio which I featured in that month's New Music Releases post. But there's now a music video which came out last month, so here it is. :)
Also this week's Weekly Music Video was Era Istrefi's latest single Nuk E Di featuring her sister Nora: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2019/05/weekly-music-video.html

NU'EST- BET BET
Just seen this video for the new single BET BET by Korean boyband NU'EST and thought I would include it! It's from their 6th mini album Happily Ever After and completes the "Three-part Knight Series" which started in 2016.
After the return of Minhyun at the beginning of the year (who took a hiatus from the group while working with Wanna One), NU'EST are back to 5 members and performing under their original name, instead of NU'EST W. :)
Both BET BET and Happily Ever After were released on 29th April.
